ÖKOTEST – Two strong results
Sodasan Citrus Toilet Cleaner received an overall rating of ‘GOOD’ from ÖKOTEST (9/25) and even a ‘VERY GOOD’ in the sub-rating for ingredients. Liquid soap refills were tested in issue 10/25: Of 43 refill bottles, we are the only ones to use proven recycled material (94%). Our 1 litre refill soap received a ‘VERY GOOD’ rating.
German Sustainability Award 2026 – Sodasan finalist
We have been nominated for the German Sustainability Award for the fourth time – and can once again look forward to a place in the finals in 2026. This award proudly joins our success story: 2018 winner, 2023 finalist for packaging with bag-in-box innovation, 2024 nominee and 2026 finalist.
COMING SOON – Love & gratitude in soap form
From November onwards, things will be getting round and heartfelt: our two new soap treasures, made from exquisite organic vegetable oils, will pamper you with creamy lather and a delicate fragrance. They are available in LOVE and THANX varieties.
REDUCE – Over 50 tonnes of plastic saved
Since 2019, we have been using the sustainable bag-in-box system for our large containers: a thin inner bag replaces the plastic canister, protected on the outside by sturdy recycled cardboard. The result: we have saved over 50.5 tonnes of plastic since then thanks to bag-in-box!
Room sprays with a new look
Our three 50 ml room sprays now feature a fresh new label design – perfectly matched to our new room fragrances. COSY, SUNNY and RELAX make rooms smell even more beautiful in no time at all. The room sprays are available now.
Fine organic room fragrances: For rooms with character
Now available in our shop: 6 sodasan room fragrances in a fresh design with newly composed fragrance worlds. The range is complemented by the fragrances AQUA and COSY. Made from 100% natural essential oils, vegan and eco-certified.
Glyphosate from the washing machine
New studies by the University of Tübingen show that conventional detergents can release glyphosate. This is triggered by the phosphonate DTPMP. For sodasan, phosphonates are an absolute no-go – only biodegradable, plant-based alternatives are used.

Baking soda, soda and citric acid are tried-and-tested household remedies with a wide range of uses. They clean, descale, neutralise odours and are ideal for environmentally friendly household applications. For sustainable and effective cleaning. Available soon.
Coming soon: Packaging relaunch for bleach & stain remover salt tin
Bleach & stain remover will soon be available in a new resource-saving tin. This will enable us to save 50% plastic. Item 5506 will be replaced by item 5507. Bleach & stain remover is an absolute all-rounder. It is often used in the wash to keep whites white, as a stain remover or to boost washing power.
New to the range
Household towels made from extremely absorbent terry cloth, produced from 100% Fairtrade organic cotton. Suitable for all surfaces in the home, with coloured flags for easy differentiation, naturally durable and hygienic. Washable up to 60°C.
Sodasan launches reusable deposit system
Sodasan is sending a strong signal for environmental protection and sustainability: together with nine renowned brands from the cosmetics and drugstore industry, Sodasan is launching three best-selling products in the pioneering zerooo deposit system.
Eco sponge – a highly absorbent household helper
From March 2024, a pack of two eco sponges for universal use in the household will be added to the sodasan range.
Organic children's soap now also available in 1000 ml refill bottles
The popular sodasan children's soap is now also available in practical 1000 ml refill bottles. It's good for the environment, saves money and ensures healthy cleanliness and fun when washing hands.
Toilet cleaner bottle now made from rPE Natural
In order to standardise the entire sodasan range, organic pioneer sodasan is now switching the remaining rPET bottles to rPE.
New: 3-in-1 Floor Wipe Care
Cleaning, care and protection in one. Sandel floor soap has been upgraded and is now called Floor Wipe Care.

Bag-in-box system from sodasan is a finalist for the German Sustainability Award
For 40 years, we have faced up to the responsibility of always thinking one step ahead when it comes to packaging. In 2019, we therefore made a cut in our bulk containers and replaced all PE plastic canisters with the innovative and plastic-saving bag-in-box packaging (BiB).
